Threaded Tensioner Termination Turnbuckle System
The Hayn Threaded Tensioner Termination Turnbuckle System is a Concealed Thread cable rail tensioning assembly that combines a turnbuckle body with a threaded termination stud in machine swage and Hayn Grip configurations, covering imperial wire sizes from 1/8" through 1/4" and metric sizes from 3mm through 6mm with post size options from 2" through 6".

The turnbuckle body provides 1-1/2" of tension adjustment and a 40-foot maximum run length per span, with longer runs achievable using Intermediate Turnbuckle Assemblies at intermediate posts. Post size options of 2", 4", and 6" are available across most wire sizes in both imperial and metric, making this one of the most widely compatible Concealed Thread tensioning systems in the Hayn lineup. A comprehensive accessories table covers the full range of compatible end fittings — termination studs, countersunk studs, dome nuts, ball ends, ball sockets, Adjust-A-Ball fittings, bevel washers, hex nuts, flat washers, cap nuts, and architectural wood inserts — all specified to work directly with the 1/4-28 and 5/16-24 thread sizes used across the system.

Machine swage assemblies are factory assembled to field dimensions by an experienced technician using a hydraulic swaging unit, and require a job site take-off to ensure cables are cut to the correct length before assembly. Hayn Grip and Handy Crimp versions are available for on-site installation across 1/8" and 3/16" wire sizes for projects where field termination is preferred. The fixed stop version covers wire sizes from 1/8" through 1/4" in all three installation methods for the non-tensioning end of the run.
