Hayn's Threaded Termination Stud System is a Traditional Cable Rail end fitting available as a turnbuckle assembly or fixed stop, in machine swage, Hayn Grip, and Handy Crimp configurations for wire sizes from 1/8" through 1/4" and post sizes from 2" through 6".

Threaded Termination Stud Systems by Hayn

The Threaded Termination Stud System threads directly through the end post and tensions against it using a hex nut and flat washer, with a Cap (Acorn) Nut threaded onto the protruding stud to lock the tensioning nut in position and finish the installation cleanly. It is one of the most versatile tensioning systems in the Hayn Traditional cable rail lineup — the turnbuckle assembly version provides 3" to 3-1/4" of adjustment range and a 50-foot maximum run length per span, and post size options of 2", 4", and 6" on several wire sizes make it compatible with the full range of wood, steel, and composite post geometries common in residential and commercial applications.

Machine swage assemblies are factory assembled to field dimensions by an experienced technician using a hydraulic swaging unit, and require a job site take-off to ensure cables are cut to the correct length before assembly. Hayn Grip and Handy Crimp versions are available for on-site installation across 1/8" and 3/16" wire sizes for projects where field termination is preferred. The fixed stop version covers wire sizes from 1/8" through 1/4" in all three installation methods for the non-tensioning end of the run.
