Concealed Thread Cable Rail Systems
Hayn’s cable rail systems are designed to eliminate the complexities involved in installation without compromising on quality. Our lines include a full catalog of Adjuster Systems, Fork Systems, Turnbuckle Systems, Turnbuckle Assemblies, and Termination Accessories.
Clean lines. No exposed hardware. Professional results.
Hayn's Concealed Thread Cable Rail Systems were built around a single design priority: keeping the hardware invisible. Adjustment threads are hidden internally, fasteners stay out of sight, and the result is a tensioned cable rail installation that reads as pure, uninterrupted line — exactly what modern architectural projects demand.
These systems don't sacrifice performance for aesthetics. They're engineered for cable runs up to 40 feet (with the Stud Tensioning system) and up to 40 feet per end (with the Fork systems), all in wire sizes from 1/8″ to 1/4″. Every component is manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in exterior and coastal environments.
Whether you're working with wood posts, steel posts, or concrete, there's a system configuration in this catalog that fits your application.

The Design Advantage
Exposed threads on a cable rail installation are a visual compromise. Hayn's concealed thread design eliminates that compromise entirely — tensioning happens internally, so what's visible at the post face is a minimal, machined fitting with no protruding hardware.
The reduced physical size of these components reinforces the minimalist aesthetic rather than competing with it. For architects and designers specifying cable rail on decks, balconies, stairs, and interior railings, these systems support the finished look they're designing toward.
Materials & Specifications
All Concealed Thread Cable Rail hardware is manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel — the same corrosion-resistant alloy Hayn uses across its marine and structural product lines. It performs in coastal environments, high-humidity applications, and exterior installations where hardware integrity matters over the long term.
Available wire sizes: 1/8″ | 3mm | 5/32″ | 4mm | 3/16″ | 5mm | 1/4″ | 6mm
Assembly options: Machine Swage (factory assembled) | Hayn Grip™ (on-site install) | Handy Crimp™ (on-site install)
Installation Flexibility
The system is engineered for real-world installation conditions, not ideal ones. Key features:
Stair angle compensation is handled through Bevel Washers or Adjust-A-Ball hardware options, so angled runs don't require custom fabrication.
Wood post installations are supported with Architectural Wood Inserts that anchor directly into the post material.
Concrete applications are accommodated with Drop-In Anchor options for wall eye attachment.
Extended runs beyond the standard range are achievable with Intermediate Turnbuckle Assemblies, which allow mid-run tensioning without breaking the concealed-thread aesthetic.
Stud Tensioners can also be combined with other stud length configurations and system components to meet project-specific design criteria.

System Components
Stud Tensioning Internal Adjuster System
The core of the line — a simple, economical tensioning system with internal thread adjustment. Available in Machine Swage (factory assembled to field dimensions), Hayn Grip™, and Handy Crimp™ configurations. Wire sizes 1/8″ to 1/4″. Maximum run of 20 feet per end; doubles when tensioners are used on both ends.
Architectural Tensioner Fork System
A fork-style internal adjuster for use with Universal Wall Eyes. Uses left and right-hand thread pairs for a turnbuckle effect during tensioning. Wire sizes 1/8″ to 1/4″. Maximum run of 40 feet.
Architectural Turnbuckle Fork System
Fork termination with turnbuckle tensioning for applications requiring a different post-face profile. Designed for use with the Universal Wall Eye system.
Threaded Tensioner Termination Turnbuckle System
A termination-side turnbuckle for use where one end of the cable run requires fixed termination with tensioning handled from a single location.
Intermediate Tensioner Turnbuckle Assemblies
Mid-run tensioning hardware for cable installations exceeding standard system run lengths. Maintains the concealed thread aesthetic at the intermediate point.
Angle Compensation and Termination Accessories
Bevel Washers, Adjust-A-Ball Fittings, Universal Wall Eyes, Wood Inserts, Drop-In Anchors, and related hardware for adapting the system to stair angles, varied post materials, and non-standard mounting conditions.
