Hex Lock Nuts – Nylon Insert
Hayn Hex Lock Nuts with Nylon Insert are 18-8 stainless steel prevailing torque nuts for Concealed Thread and Traditional Cable Rail systems, providing vibration-resistant locking at the termination stud without requiring a secondary locking fastener.
Hex Lock Nuts – Nylon Insert
The nylon insert grips the stud thread under load to prevent the nut from backing off over time — an important feature on cable rail installations that experience thermal expansion and contraction cycles as the structure moves seasonally. Available in right hand thread only across four sizes: 1/4-28, 5/16-24, 3/8-24, and 1/4-20 UNC, covering the thread range used across both Concealed Thread and Traditional cable rail termination hardware. For flush domed or standard hex nut options in the same thread range, see the other Hayn Hex Nut System products.
