Adjust-A-Ball Fittings

The Hayn Adjust-A-Ball Fitting is a Type 316 stainless steel ball-socket end fitting for Concealed Thread Cable Rail systems, designed to compensate for off-angle post geometry without requiring a custom termination solution at the end vertical.

Strong Where It Matters

Adjust-A-Ball Fittings

The Adjust-A-Ball solves one of the most common installation challenges in cable rail — end posts and flat bar applications that aren't perfectly perpendicular to the cable run. A standard 11/16" hole drilled into the end vertical or post acts as the mounting socket, with the ball geometry accommodating the angle variation so the cable terminates cleanly regardless of post orientation. Available in two configurations: the AJB termination stud for fixed cable ends, and the AJB1 threaded stud for installations requiring tensioning adjustment at the fitting. Both use a 3/4" ball diameter with a 3/8" hole and are manufactured from Type 316 stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance in exterior architectural applications.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
Precision Manufacturing Our Rocky Hill production floor runs CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, large-capacity mill-turn centers, and waterjet cutting systems — all configured to produce hardware that meets exact specifications, every time.
75+ Years of Excellence Hayn has been engineering and manufacturing marine and architectural rigging hardware since 1950. That track record isn't just history, it's the design knowledge, failure data, and continuous improvement that goes into every product we make.
