Hardware For Any Rig

For 75 years
, Hayn has set the standard for strength on the water. Since 1950, sailors, riggers, and boatbuilders have trusted our stainless steel marine rigging hardware to hold strong through every passage — because when the wind builds and the rig is loaded, the hardware connecting it all can't be the weak link. Every turnbuckle, swage fitting, terminal, and shackle we make is engineered and manufactured to a single standard: uncompromising strength you can rely on, mile after mile.

Our Catalog

The Hayn Marine catalog covers the full standing rigging system, from stainless steel wire rope and swage fittings to turnbuckles, threaded fittings, lifeline hardware, Hi-MOD compression terminals, and shackles. We're also the manufacturer of NAVTEC rod rigging — the high-performance rod systems found on serious racing and cruising yachts — built right here at our Connecticut facility to the same exacting tolerances as everything we produce. Whether you're outfitting a weekend daysailer or a grand-prix race boat, you'll find proven, ready-to-ship rigging hardware engineered to perform.

Custom Rigging Hardware

And when the catalog doesn't have the answer, our engineering team does. With in-house design and precision manufacturing under one roof, Hayn can fabricate custom fittings and terminals to solve virtually any rigging challenge — and produce standing or running rigging material for any rig afloat, old or new, production or one-off. No part too unusual, no rig too complex: if it has to hold strong, we can build it.

The Navtec trade name and Rod Rigging Designs are the exclusive intellectual property of Hayn Enterprises, LLC. Hayn is branding our NAVTEC Rod Rigging products as “NAVTEC Made By Hayn” to eliminate any confusion amongst the industry. Hayn’s Rod Rigging line is manufactured in their Rocky Hill Connecticut facility located in the Northeast United States, to the strictest of quality standards. As with our wire rope fittings, Hayn offers short lead-times for both our standard products as well as custom components.

NAVTEC by Hayn is the rod rigging system that changed offshore sailing. Developed in the 1970s and now engineered and manufactured by Hayn in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, NAVTEC introduced Nitronic 50 rod rigging to the yachting world — a high-strength, low-stretch, corrosion-resistant alternative to wire that remains the benchmark for performance standing rigging on racing and bluewater cruising sailboats alike. The full NAVTEC product line covers everything from R505 Nitronic 50 rod in 12 sizes through the complete system of terminals, stemballs, spreader tip cups, tangs, turnbuckles, and insulators needed to build or replace a rod rigging system from masthead to chainplate.

Every NAVTEC component is engineered to work as a system. Stemballs and spreader tip cups distribute load at the rod terminal interfaces, reducing the bending stress concentration that drives fatigue failure in conventional fixed-end fittings. High fatigue rod eyes and toggle jaws extend service life in forestay and shroud applications where lead angle variation places continuous cyclic demands on the terminal. Tip turnbuckles and tang combinations provide the micro-adjustment range that rod rigging demands at the deck fitting. Whether you are building a new rig, replacing aging hardware, or upgrading from wire, Hayn stocks the full NAVTEC system and the expertise to help you specify it correctly.

THE HAYN PHILOSOPHY

Rigging hardware only earns trust one way: by not failing. We engineer every fitting to work as part of a system, not just the individual part in your hand, because a turnbuckle is only as strong as the terminal it's paired with, and a terminal is only as strong as the swage that made it. That systems mindset is why sailors have trusted Hayn hardware since 1950, and why boatbuilders keep speccing it project after project.
