Turnbuckle Body – Open

The Hayn Open Turnbuckle Body is a forged chromed bronze frame available in 12 thread sizes from 1/4-28 through 1-3/8-12, providing the corrosion-resistant, non-galling tensioning core for Hayn open body turnbuckle assemblies across the full range of marine and architectural cable applications.

Strong Where It Matters

Turnbuckle Body – Open

The forged bronze construction is the key material choice here — bronze threads against stainless steel rod ends without galling during tensioning and adjustment, which matters on a fitting that may see repeated seasonal adjustment over many years of service. The open frame design gives riggers direct visual access to thread engagement at both ends, making dockside tensioning and inspection straightforward without removing the fitting. One of the broadest open body ranges available, covering thread sizes from 1/4-28 through 1-3/8-12 with body lengths from 4-1/2" through 19-1/2", spanning the full range of wire and rod rigging applications from small production boats through large offshore vessels and architectural cable systems.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
Precision Manufacturing Our Rocky Hill production floor runs CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, large-capacity mill-turn centers, and waterjet cutting systems — all configured to produce hardware that meets exact specifications, every time.
75+ Years of Excellence Hayn has been engineering and manufacturing marine and architectural rigging hardware since 1950. That track record isn't just history, it's the design knowledge, failure data, and continuous improvement that goes into every product we make.
