NAVTEC BY HAYN

NAVTEC R505 Nitronic 50 Rod is the high-strength, low-stretch, corrosion-resistant rod at the core of the NAVTEC rod rigging system, available in 12 sizes covering rod diameters from 0.172" through 0.660" with minimum breaking strengths from 4,700 lbs through 60,000 lbs.

NAVTEC by Hayn - Strong Where It Matters

NAVTEC Rod Spreader Bend

Nitronic 50 is the material choice that defines NAVTEC rod rigging — its combination of high tensile strength, low modulus of elasticity relative to wire, and superior corrosion resistance makes it the preferred rod rigging material in competitive and offshore sailing. Hayn stocks R505 rod in two configurations: straightened with a normal finish and un-straightened sold by the pound for riggers who cut to length on site. All 12 rod sizes from -04 through -60 are available in all three configurations, with both Hayn and legacy NAVTEC part numbers listed, and after-heading diameters published for every size to support spreader tip cup and tang selection. Contact Hayn directly to discuss specific rod requirements before ordering.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
NAVTEC ENGINEERING STANDARDS NAVTEC components are engineered to perform under the exact conditions that demand the most from your rigging — offshore passages, high-load racing applications, and everything in between. Every fitting is precision-machined to tight tolerances, built from high-grade stainless steel, and designed to integrate seamlessly into rod rigging systems where failure is not an option.
YOUR EXCLUSIVE SOURCE FOR NAVTEC Hayn is the sole authorized manufacturer and supplier of NAVTEC rigging components. That means every part you order is made to the original specifications, backed by Hayn's manufacturing expertise, and supported by our team in Rocky Hill. There is no other legitimate source for new NAVTEC product — what you get here is the real thing.
