NAVTEC BY HAYN

The NAVTEC L500 Spreader Tip Cup is a three-piece modular spreader tip fitting that incorporates NAVTEC Micro Stemballs for superior fatigue resistance, fits completely inside the spreader to reduce sail chafe, and is engineered for larger vessels where the L400 range is insufficient.

NAVTEC by Hayn - Strong Where It Matters

NAVTEC L500 Spreader Tip Cups

The three-piece design separates into its components for straightforward installation and maintenance without removing the spreader, and the internal fit eliminates the exposed hardware profile that causes sail chafe on deck-level spreader boot fittings. Each L500 is built to order around the specific lower rod, upper rod, and diagonal screw sizes for the installation, with nine standard shroud angle combinations covering lower angles from 84° through 90°, upper angles at 90°, and diagonal angles from 70° through 80°. Installations outside the standard angle range are accommodated through custom configurations, and part numbers are constructed by substituting the specific rod and diagonal screw dash sizes into the XX, YY, and ZZ positions in the part number format.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
NAVTEC ENGINEERING STANDARDS NAVTEC components are engineered to perform under the exact conditions that demand the most from your rigging — offshore passages, high-load racing applications, and everything in between. Every fitting is precision-machined to tight tolerances, built from high-grade stainless steel, and designed to integrate seamlessly into rod rigging systems where failure is not an option.
YOUR EXCLUSIVE SOURCE FOR NAVTEC Hayn is the sole authorized manufacturer and supplier of NAVTEC rigging components. That means every part you order is made to the original specifications, backed by Hayn's manufacturing expertise, and supported by our team in Rocky Hill. There is no other legitimate source for new NAVTEC product — what you get here is the real thing.
