High Resistance "D" Shackles
Hayn High Resistance "D" Shackles are manufactured from 17/4 PH stainless steel, delivering substantially higher breaking loads than standard 316 shackles of the same physical size for applications where strength-to-weight ratio is critical.
High Resistance "D" Shackles
The 17/4 PH alloy is the key differentiator — precipitation-hardened stainless steel achieves significantly greater tensile strength than standard 316, which means these shackles can handle loads that would require a much larger conventional shackle to match. Minimum breaking loads range from 5,952 lbs on the 1/4" pin size through 61,729 lbs on the 3/4" pin size, with seven sizes available in pin diameters from 1/4" through 3/4". The standard screw pin configuration keeps the design simple and familiar for riggers working in demanding offshore and racing applications where every pound of hardware weight matters.
