The NAVTEC G200 High Fatigue Rod Eye is a Type 316 stainless steel rod terminal designed specifically for forestay applications, where the fitting must toggle under high load and shifting lead angles without concentrating bending stress in the rod.

NAVTEC G200 High Fatigue Rod Eye

Forestays experience a different load profile than shrouds — the lead angle shifts continuously as the headsail is trimmed and the boat changes point of sail, which means a standard fixed eye terminal would transmit repeated bending stress directly into the rod at the connection point. The G200 High Fatigue Rod Eye is engineered to minimize that bending stress, extending fatigue life in exactly the application where a standard rod eye would be most vulnerable. Available in 12 configurations covering rod sizes from -04 through -60, with pin and eye widths from 3/8" through 1-1/4" and hardware factors from 2-13/16" through 7-3/4". Note that this product does not qualify for the standard discount structure.
