Fork and Open Body

The Hayn Fork and Open Body turnbuckle pairs clevis fork ends on both sides of a chromed bronze open body, providing pin-connected tension adjustment with direct visual access to thread engagement across one of the most comprehensive fork turnbuckle size ranges in the catalog.

Fork ends at both ends make this the standard configuration for standing rigging assemblies where clevis pin connections are used at both the chainplate and wire terminal interfaces, and the chromed bronze body resists corrosion while preventing galling at the threaded interface during tensioning and seasonal adjustment. The open body design allows riggers to confirm thread engagement at both ends without removing the fitting, which matters on a turnbuckle that carries continuous load. Available in 11 configurations covering wire diameters from 3/32" through 1" with thread sizes from 1/4-28 through 1-3/8-12 and pin diameters from 1/4" through 1-3/8", with open lengths from 6-15/16" through 2'6-1/4".
