NAVTEC BY HAYN

The NAVTEC F220 Rod Stemball in tapered configuration is a Type 316 stainless steel ball terminal for Nitronic 50 rod rigging, developed by NAVTEC to significantly extend rod fatigue life with minimal added weight or size.

NAVTEC by Hayn - Strong Where It Matters

NAVTEC F220 Rod Stemball – Tapered

Stemballs were developed by NAVTEC specifically to address the fatigue failure that occurs at rod rigging terminal interfaces under repeated loading cycles. The tapered stemball design seats into a compatible cup fitting at the spreader tip or chainplate, allowing the rod to articulate at the connection point and distributing stress across the ball seat rather than concentrating it at a fixed terminal interface — which is where fatigue cracks originate in conventional rod end fittings. Available in 12 sizes covering NAVTEC rod sizes from -04 through -60, and compatible with the NAVTEC L400 Spreader Tip Cup sold separately. Larger sizes are available on request.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
NAVTEC ENGINEERING STANDARDS NAVTEC components are engineered to perform under the exact conditions that demand the most from your rigging — offshore passages, high-load racing applications, and everything in between. Every fitting is precision-machined to tight tolerances, built from high-grade stainless steel, and designed to integrate seamlessly into rod rigging systems where failure is not an option.
YOUR EXCLUSIVE SOURCE FOR NAVTEC Hayn is the sole authorized manufacturer and supplier of NAVTEC rigging components. That means every part you order is made to the original specifications, backed by Hayn's manufacturing expertise, and supported by our team in Rocky Hill. There is no other legitimate source for new NAVTEC product — what you get here is the real thing.
