Eye Toggle Jaw and Open Body

The Hayn Eye Toggle Jaw and Open Body turnbuckle pairs a fixed bolt eye on one end with an articulating toggle jaw on the other in a chromed bronze open body, offering the same configuration as the closed body version with direct visual access to thread engagement during tensioning and inspection across one of the broadest size ranges in the Hayn turnbuckle lineup.

Strong Where It Matters

Eye Toggle Jaw and Open Body

The chromed bronze open body resists corrosion and prevents galling at the threaded interface while letting riggers confirm thread engagement at both ends without removing the fitting — a practical advantage on a standing rigging turnbuckle that carries continuous load. The fixed eye end connects to a chainplate bolt while the toggle jaw articulates freely to prevent side-loading at the opposite connection point, and extended jaw depth options (-X, -XX, -XXX suffixes) are available on most sizes for installations where standard clearance is insufficient. One of the most comprehensive turnbuckle ranges in the Hayn catalog, covering wire diameters from 3/32" through 1" across 20 configurations with thread sizes from 1/4-28 through 1-3/8-12 and pin diameters from 1/4" through 1-3/8". Additional jaw depths are available on request.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
Precision Manufacturing Our Rocky Hill production floor runs CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, large-capacity mill-turn centers, and waterjet cutting systems — all configured to produce hardware that meets exact specifications, every time.
75+ Years of Excellence Hayn has been engineering and manufacturing marine and architectural rigging hardware since 1950. That track record isn't just history, it's the design knowledge, failure data, and continuous improvement that goes into every product we make.
