4" Inch Positive Locking Pelican Hook

Hayn 4" Positive Locking Pelican Hooks deliver the same positive locking security as the 3" model in a larger gate format, accommodating heavier wire sizes and applications where greater jaw clearance is required.

Strong Where It Matters

4" Inch Positive Locking Pelican Hook

The extra inch of gate length makes this the right choice for larger lifeline installations and heavier wire diameters, including 1/4" imperial and 6mm metric sizes not available in the 3" version. As with the 3" model, the positive locking mechanism prevents accidental release under load or vibration while remaining operable in an emergency. Available in machine swage configuration for imperial wire sizes 1/8" through 1/4" and metric sizes 4mm through 6mm, as well as a Handy Crimp stud option for 1/8" and 3/16" wire.

316 Stainless Steel

4 inch positive locking pelican hook is 316 stainless steel. Machine swage option is available for imperial wire sizes 1/8″, 5/32″, 3/16″ and 1/4″, metric wire sizes 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm. With Handy Crimp stud wire sizes 1/8″ and 3/16″.

Note: 1/4″ and 6mm lifeline fittings use 7/32″, or 5.5mm, swager dies and specifications.

Engineered In America Every Hayn fitting is designed and manufactured at our facility in Rocky Hill, Connecticut — the same American workmanship that has set the standard for stainless steel rigging hardware since 1950.
Cold-Worked Production Hayn fittings are cold-worked, not cast. That distinction matters: the cold-working process refines grain structure, increases fatigue resistance, and produces a fundamentally stronger component — one built to perform when the load comes on it.
Precision Manufacturing Our Rocky Hill production floor runs CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, large-capacity mill-turn centers, and waterjet cutting systems — all configured to produce hardware that meets exact specifications, every time.
75+ Years of Excellence Hayn has been engineering and manufacturing marine and architectural rigging hardware since 1950. That track record isn't just history, it's the design knowledge, failure data, and continuous improvement that goes into every product we make.
  • Type 316 stainless steel construction for superior saltwater corrosion resistance
